HOW TO GET THERE

HOW TO GET TO BELLINZONA

●BY CAR

-From the north:

Coming from the north (Zurich-Basel) follow the A2 highway in the direction “Lugano/Chiasso”, take the “Bellinzona Nord” exit and follow the signs for Bellinzona. Continue on the main road for about 3.5 km on Via San Gottardo to reach the center of Bellinzona.

Please allow about 2 hours to reach Bellinzona from Zurich. If you prefer a more scenic drive, there are mountain passes connecting Bellinzona to the north of the Alps, such as Gotthard, Nufenen and Lukmanier. In September, some of these might be closed due to snow.

You can plan your scenic road trip or ask us for hints, we’ll be happy to help!

-From the south:

Coming from the south (Lugano or Italy), follow the A2 highway in the direction of “San Gottardo/San Bernardino”, take the “Bellinzona Sud” exit, and follow the signs for “Bellinzona/San Gottardo” for about 4 km. At the first roundabout, go right and enter the Viale Portone to reach the center of Bellinzona.

Arriving from the north (e.g. Zurich Airport), take a southbound train to “Lugano/Chiasso/Milano”, stop at Bellinzona railway station
